About Raven Hill Integrated Therapies Our Philosophy & Mission At Raven Hill Integrated Therapies we know that how you are treated is just as important as your treatment. Raven Hill Integrated Therapies is committed to the holistic practice of Occupational Therapy. World class treatment and superior customer service are our basic means of providing that treatment. Our first and greatest concern is the restoration of independence and quality of life to persons affected by injury, illness or developmental disabilities. Taking the time to know and understand our patients and clients is our strategy and our strength. If we understand what the patient wants, needs and expects we can help to reach those expectations. We measure our success by your success. Who We Are Raven Hill Integrated Therapies is a therapist-owned practice. We are located in the heart of scenic Downeast Maine in the city of Ellsworth. This places us at the population center and transportation and shopping hub of Hancock County. We are equally distant from patients in need of treatment who reside in Waldo and Washington Counties, as well as Bangor and Penobscot County to the North, and Bar Harbor to the south. Map of location Raven Hill Integrated Therapies provides a wide range of Occupational Therapy services. Raven Hill Integrated Therapies provides the only Certified Hand Therapy throughout our three-county area. We address and pre- and post-surgical interventions for a full range of upper quarter injuries and illnesses. We also provide Certified Lymphedema Management using the techniques of Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT). We are prepared to assist patients in the management of upper or lower extremity edema. Those patients afflicted with male genital lymphedema will also find assistance at Raven Hill Integrated Therapies. Most patients with genital lymphedema (male or female) prefer treatment by a therapist of the same sex. We employ perhaps the only male therapist in Maine who is trained to address male genital lymphedema with complete decongestive therapy. Raven Hill's therapy is integrated in the sense that we have learned to apply the techniques of lymphedema management to patients who have experienced severe swelling as a result of trauma or surgery. This includes patients with upper or lower extremity Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), formerly known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD). By reducing gross swelling (edema) early in a patient's recovery, we help to restore normal motion in the body. Restoration of early, protected motion reduces pain, decreases scar adhesion, improves function, generally speeds recovery and reduces the likelihood of other potential complications. Because of our attention to the lymphatic system and its recovery, we do not limit ourselves to treatment of only the upper body, as do most occupational therapy practices. We address edema and lymphedema throughout the body. Greg Molatch (MA, OTR/L, CHT, CLT) is a graduate of the Master's in Occupational Therapy Program at the University of Southern Maine. He has been certified as a lymphedema therapist by Guenter Klose of Klose Training & Consulting, via the course of instruction provided at the Foeldi Clinic for Lymphologie in Hinterzarten, Germany. Greg is one of the few Certified Hand Therapists (CHTs) in Maine, and the only one in practice in Hancock, Washington and Waldo Counties Downeast. He is a member of the advisory board of the Husson College Occupational Therapy Program, and a Friend of the Board of the Maine Lymphedema Network (MLN). Greg is also a member of the Maine Occupational Therapy Association, the American Occupational Therapy Association and the American Society of Hand Therapists. Greg and his wife Kathleen, a fiber artist who owns Copper Beech Design Studio, live in Eastbrook, Maine on 15 secluded acres with three rescued Border Collies and an English Springer Spaniel. Tammy Grice (COTA/L, CLT) is a graduate of the Kennebec Valley Technical College Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. She and Greg have worked together since 2000. She is highly skilled and creative in the use of functional activities to promote health, has over a decade of experience in geriatrics, and is a strong advocate for persons with lymphedema. Tammy has been trained and certified in Lymphedema management by Klose Training & Consulting, and is a Friend of the Board of the Maine Lymphedema Network. She and her husband Paul live with a ferocious pack of dachshunds, too fast and too numerous to count, and both are enthusiastic motorcyclists. Meg Smith (OTR/L, LMT) is a graduate of Maryland's Towson State University School of Occupational Therapy. She brings three decades of experience to her occupational therapy practice, and is also a licensed massage therapist. Meg has unmatched expertise in the management of geriatric conditions, and has lived and worked Downeast for over 16 years. She and her husband Jim live in rural bliss with an exceptional Rhodesian Ridgeback dog and the dog's pet cat, Lewis.
